Hello, beautybugs! I wanted to do a review about this product for quite a long time. If you are big on following beauty gurus or brands on Instagram, you are most likely to have heard of Dose of Colors. So many beauty gurus mentioned about this product, and it makes me curios about what so hype about this product, Liquid Matte Lipsticks is a trend that have been popping up all over with beauty brands. The dry-to-matte formula has grown very popular. And yes, I’m totally being obsessed with liquid matte lipsticks!
I bought Merlot, Pinky Promise, Berry Me, & Berry Me 2. I’ve purchased their liquid lipsticks directly from their website. I was not disappointed because they look just as beautiful in person as they do online.
The packaging is sleek with dove and semi transparent tube. The formulation is a thicker consistency with an insanely beautiful pigmentation that lasts ALL day and the colour payoff is the BOMB.COM! It stayed all day although I spent the day eating and chatting. I just had to re-apply just a tiny bit to the center of my mouth after hours of wear.
The applicator is quite unique yet tricky. It has a slight indentation that truly hugs the contours of your lips. And for the tricky part, it has lack of precision.
Merlot: A red-pink shade. This one is quite similar to Kiss of Fire, but I personally prefer Merlot because it’s slightly deeper and appears more reddish.
Pinky Promise: This is a very bright, clean pink. I love it!
Berry Me: A lovely, berry-plum color.I absolutely love this shade. I guess a lot of people agreed with me because this shade was sold out for so long. I just love how it complements warm-toned eye looks.
Berry Me 2: A brighter berry shade, more with pink undertone.
- The colour stays for almost 7 hours.
- Doesn’t dry or flake out the lips.
- It turned into a real-matte finish is after 30 seconds which is quite fast!
- The colour payoff is sooo damn good!
- Formula is vegan friendly, cruelty, gluten and paraben-free.
- The colours stains unbelievably (especially Merlot) even when you wiped already with makeup remover.
- Made in USA.
- The applicator is quite challenging for precise application.
What do you think?
Will you be snapping these Dose of Colors up?
